Is Pinterest good for marketing purposes?

Hey guys, I am wondering if Pinterest is good for marketing purposes? I'm mostly thinking about using it to get people to come to my blog to read my posts and maybe make a little affiliate money.

I just don't see much mentioned about Pinterest and don't know if it's worth the time spent to try to use it for marketing purposes.

Anyone have any helpful input?

Pinterest isn't mentioned much because most people are more interested in Facebook, Twitter and Google+ and tend to stick with those.

Most of the content on my blog and the things that I market are marketed towards women. I do health and beauty as well as fashion for women so it might be good for my needs.

I haven't thought about using Pinterest for paid advertising but now that you bring it up I may try it. Thanks
