Does server location matter?

Server location has not that much importance that you might believe. Speed and reliability are important - but they do not correlate with location. Your store could be faster hosted with anyother location in the UK, than in your domestic market.

UK hosting would be better?

A recent survey conduced by Radware looked at the 100 eCommerce sites and found out that 57% of the leave the site if it takes more than 3 seconds to load. The closer the visitor to the location the better, as he would have to pass through fewer networks.

Does it have to be in your main target country or is one close good enough. Like would France work for UK traffic and UK locations work for France? They are close enough I would think.
