I have a small email list for my marketing and I have been thinking about buying an email list bit I don't want to just waste my money.

Has anyone bought an email list and actually made money from the list?

I was thinking about doing this but when I was reading about it they say that it is hard to find a good list to buy because the places that sell the lists are selling them to many different people. If you can find some place that has one cheap then you can try it and see what happens mate.

I have not bought an email list because I really do not know where I can buy a good list at that will be worth it. I have thought about buying one sometimes but just do not know where to start looking for a good one.

When I was thinking about buying an email list I did some research and found that most of the lists that you would buy are not much good if any good at all.

I would like to get a bigger email list so if you find a good source then please share it if you can.

I want to add something I just found out. One thing you need to also think about if you buy an email list for your email marketing is that some advertisers only want opt-in emails that you got for yourself. You can check the terms of any products or advertisers you use. I just found this out for myself when I saw the terms for 1 place.

I have only seen advertisers that stated that in their terms on Clickbank. I'll have to keep an eye out for that even though I haven't bought a list yet.

Some times it is hard to find but it is in many of their terms. You just have to find it because it is often in the middle of them. I do not know how they would really know though.

How they would really know what?

If they were your email addresses and not some you bought.

A guy that I know buys email lists and he says that he makes a lot of money from them but he sends a lot of emails out every day to make that money.

He said that you need to only buy them from high quality sources or they will not make you money.

The people would not really have an accurate way to know for sure if you bought an email address or if it was gotten from a signup form.

I was starting to think about buying some emails because my list is too small right now. How can we know if the source is high quality or not?
Then buying a list will be ok then?

I guess it would be if that is something that you want to do. I don't know how well the results you get will be but you can give it a try.

I might do it but I really don't know where to buy them from. I will probably just not do it now until I know where I can buy them.

I don't know because I have never bought them. Maybe you can ask a question and the people who have bought them can help you.

I haven't bought an email list but I have thought about it. I would just be afraid that the email addresses were either not real email addresses or they were just either old or sold to many different people and they would be pretty much useless.

I've been buying data (email) for over 17 years. It is, however, my business model and not a traffic strategy.

If you are doing B2C and can get fresh / targeted data specific to your offer, it may very well be worth trying.

You can always buy a small sample and test before spending any significant amount of money.

Have the data verified and cleaned by a reputable list hygiene service.

Don't send using your account / domain as a precaution.

I have never bought an email list, how do you know if the list is genuinely a targeted list and not just one that a seller is saying is good for a specific niche?

If you purchase a good email list you could get traffic only if your smtp server is good. Make sure non of the emails bounce on the list. I creats bad reputation for the IP address.
