How long should web hosting ticket support take?

I think that a good web host should answer most support tickets in no more the 30-60 minutes unless there is something that would require more time due to unknown circumstances.

My support tickets are usually taken care of in under 20-30 minutes and often less than that.

If yours are taking 8 hours then it's time to get new hosting.
That is how long I think a good web hosting service should take for tickets or most of the time at the least.

Good for you but just check on any first before you buy it.
I will for sure mate. I don't want the same things to happen again.

OMG! If I had hosting that was taking 8 hours to take care of support problems I would have dumped them right away.

That's just costing you money, traffic and maybe rankings in the SERP's.

I was trying to be understanding and a loyal customer and that is why I have stayed so long. I know most people would have left by now but I try to stay loyal if I can.

I understand that you want to be loyal because I do that too but that's just mad what they have been doing.

I hope your next one is better for you.

Thanks mate. I hope so too because this one has been a real headache for me sometime.

I have been there with the hosting headache years ago when I was with a big hosting company that is now notoriously bad. I know how you feel. :(

My web host has been getting worse with taking longer to reply to my support tickets and even when they are something easy. I used to get some replies in an hour or maybe 2 hours but some were long. Now they are all long and are taking at least 8 hours.
Even taking an hour or two on a regular basis is way too long for me to be happy with. The main web host that is use rarely takes longer than maybe 15-20 minutes and it's less than that many times.

I use support for an account of mine yesterday night and it took 7 minutes from submission to resolution/completion with what I needed done.

How long should it take to reply to support tickets at a web host?
Anything more than 30-60 minutes on a regular basis is too long. I look for most things to be done in 15-30 but that's because the host I am with has gotten me used to fast support.

I don't like waiting 1 or 2 hours for ticket support but that is just much better than taking 8 hours like now.

Your hosting support is super fast. I hope I can get one like that for my next host.

Sure it is but if it was less than that then it would be even better. ;)

You can if you just make sure to go with a host that is known to have good and fast support. Ask around if you have a web host in mind that you are interested in and try to get some information on them before you buy.

I don't know how to tell though how fast support for a web host is. I can ask here or search Google maybe.
