How long before you give up on a niche?

I started going into a second niche a couple of months ago and have been trying to build it up to become profitable but it's just not turning out to make good earnings from it.

When you try a niche for your internet marketing how long will you stick with it before giving up and trying some other niche?

I would say that you should at least give it 3 to 6 months before giving up on any niche and finding another one. I was about to give up on mine after maybe 2 months and then all of a sudden it started to produce nicely.

If you are looking for overnight results then you probably need to be an expert in some field.

I would say that you should not give up for at least 6 months. It can take a while for things to catch on and start going. It took me several months to get going in mine.

I was thinking about going at least 3 months but I haven't really got any kind of good coming from it yet and usually I saw something within the first couple of months.

I understand that but what if it's a wasted 6 months though?

You should wait at least 6 months before thinking about giving up on a niche or changing to something else. It usually takes time to get things to start being successful.

If it was super easy then everyone would be doing it, right? :)

If it is just going nowhere after a few months then you should either change somethings that you are doing or maybe try something else. If it's showing a little sign of life after a few months then I would give it a few more.

Instead of giving up on that niche why don't you try to do some things different? Maybe it's not the niche but how you are doing things.

I would really not want to go longer than 4 or 5 months before seeing things start to do good. If it has not by then I would not want to keep wasting time and move to something else or at least try to do things different.

I say you should not give up for at least several months. I wanted to give up after only about 2 I think because I was not making much money but then it started to grow nicely and I am happy I stayed with it. You might just have to change some things you are doing and see if the changes make things better.

If it's been a couple of months and nothing has really turned out then maybe it's time to try other methods as long as the niche is one that has potential.

I have had to change up some things and make some marketing adjustments before and that will often help get something going.

It's up to you to decide on when you would give up any any niche but I wouldn't give up on one unless you are sure it won't start going no matter what.

Just make sure that it isn't what you are doing yourself and not the niche itself.

Are you using the same marketing techniques that you used in the others that you have tried?

Maybe you are doing something different without realizing it.

Everything is the same but the results are just worse. That's why I think that it might just be a tough niche.

In my opinion there is no time frame that you should just give up on a niche that you are trying to gain success in. I would only really give up on a niche if I am certain that I have tried everything that I can possibly try to be successful but haven't achieved the wanted results.

If you have given your best efforts and done everything that you can and there are still no signs that anything will ever get better then at that point you may consider changing to a new or different niche.

It does often take a little time to reach the desired level of success that one is looking for so you must have some patience.

It may be a tough niche and one with a lot of competition might make it hard to find success in.

That might be it but most niches have a lot of competition these days.
True but some just have a lot more competition then others do. If you could find one that has less than some of the bigger ones then that might help your success levels.

If you have tried everything you can to try to make your go at the niche successful but you are coming up short on what you expected or hoped for then you might think about a change.

Why keep going down a path that isn't giving you the results that you want?

Are you sure that you have been doing everything you can mate? Some times it can take some months before it gets good with the marketing. That is what happened for me when I started.

Sometime it is just hard to know which ones have less competition than others.

I am just afraid that if I give up too soon my time will be a waste that I put in to it.

I am sure there is more I can do but I tried everything I can think of. I will probably wait a little longer before giving up on it.
