Higher or lower Payout thresholds

I have some affiliate programs that have payout thresholds that you can adjust. You can set them at the minimum payout threshold or something above that if you want.

I have always done the minimum payout thresholds myself. Is there any benefit to using a higher payout threshold?

I just don't understand why anyone would want to set a higher threshold and I can't find any information as to what would be the difference other than when you get paid.

Unless there is some kind of advantage to having higher payout thresholds then go with the lower so you get your money sooner.

You never know when something might go wrong so pulling the money out as soon as possible is what I would do unless there's an advantage to leaving it there longer.

That's what I was wondering about. I don't understand why anyone would want to set it higher but I didn't know if I was just missing something or some kind of advantage I didn't see.

I have an Amazon Affiliate and I see this all the time. I have never try the high payout, so I wouldn't know the benefits.

But I think I would try it one of these days. You can't so sure if you don't try.

I don't understand it either unless there might be a fee to withdraw money at a lower amount and the fee is less or they don't charge a fee at a higher payout.

Usually for low payout don"t charge fee..... exept payment processors that you withdraw to it .....specally payza had high fee

Then there probably isn't any kind of benefit of withdrawing money at either the higher limits or the lower limits. I don't know why people would want to set them higher if you have nothing to gain from it.

There was one place that I used years ago that used to charge a $1 fee for making a Paypal payout if you used the minimum threshold which was $50 but if you set it at $100 or more then there was no fee.

I can't remember what place it was though but maybe that would be a reason to set it higher.

Yes for most people that would be the case

That might be why. Maybe they like to brag about how big their affiliate payments are.

I don't think there is a fee but I will check to make sure. That would make sense though.

I have friends like that too. Even my best friend says things like that but she has been doing internet marketing a lot longer than I have.

You might have to check the TOS or Support of the place in question. It should say there I would think.
Ok, I will check them when I get a chance. Thanks

I messaged the support on a couple that I was curious about and there is no fee for taking a payment at the threshold minimum. They said there was no reason other than preference as to why people choose a higher payout.

I always set mine to the lowest limit to get paid. I have not seen any place that I use charging a fee but if they did charge one for lower limits I might set mine higher.
