Are more images better for a blog?

I will be making a new blog or maybe 2 of them and I have been trying to organize many things before I start making the blog. I was wondering if it is better to have more images on a blog to make it look real nice or is it better to limit the number images so that it will load more quickly. What is the best for this?

With me , i need only some images for my blog . one of my need , it is my information in my blog .
The number of images does not matter then? If we have good information then we do not need many images?

Keep in mind that people love to see nice images so if you have some good ones and enough to look right then that will probably help your blog.

After doing some reading about it I think I will use 3-4 images on each page. That is what many seem to think is good.

People like them so you have to have some good images to help your blog. I have seen some blogs without any images or even some real, real horrible quality images and it just makes them look cheap and trashy.

You don't have to limit the amount of images on your site so much if you are using optimized images that are low in file size.

You do want to make the pages look nice and good images help add to that so I do recommend that you use what you think would be appropriate without worrying too much about the number of images unless you go crazy and have a large amount of images on your pages.

On my blog posts I usually use between 3 and 5 images to help add to my content and sometimes I have to make changes and look for images that are not too big in file size but I still find and use something appropriate.

I would just use what you think looks right and try to find low file size images and you should be fine. ;)

It depends on how you want to present your content and what niche you are in. If you are in a niche that favors more images like cooking, fashion, design or something like that then more images can help your blog.

I wouldn't go with too many though for load time reasons.

I have always believed that more is better than a few but not so many that the loading times of your blog will be greatly increased.

You have to make a good combination of images and texts in your blog. You can use as many as images but make sure that they are relevant to the blog content. Adding only images without text won't work at all.

Is there some kind of image and text ratios that is best? Like 1 image for every 100 words for an example. I hope you understand what I am meaning.

I don't limit it as one image for 100 word text. Its solely depends on the context of your post. How you write the post and what images are suitable and relevant to your post? Hope this will help you.

As long as the images are suitable then it is ok to have many of them?

I think having many images on your blog can be good since people like to see images. As long as they look good and you don't go too far and have almost all images on a post then it should be good.

I was planning to just do what I think looks good then perhaps have some people look at my blog for reviews and see if they look good.

Sounds like a good plan. I know they have a review section for people to post their websites here. Maybe you can post something there and have people give you some input.

Yes, images are an essential part of any blog or website. If you include any kind of visual, whether images, graphics, or videos, the quality of your pages is enhanced. The reason is that the people are always looking for these. Written material is preferred but if you're trying to explain a process, then it's better to include a few photos and some videos. Too much written material and no images certainly mar the concentration of visitors. This way they are unlikely to visit your pages again. Also, it is wise to bear in mind that including too much visuals may rob the actual messages of your pages. So there's a fine line between some and too much. So do include images and other visuals but don't overdo it in any case.

Images are a big part of blogs and they may add "flavor" to your post, just stick to the essential. Go minimal and use them to express a concept, don't go crazy with them or people might not read your blog if it's filled with too many images. If you write a long post telling a story or something like that, an image isn't necessary if what you're writing is interesting. Maybe put something that will catch people's attention right at the start, something that will make them curious about it, but no more than that.

It's better to have more pictures generally. However, there is a need to balance the text as well. Do include some descriptive text for your image.
I personally like websites which have moderate number of images of good quality. It's important not to have to cause information overload by having too many pictures.
Put images where necessary and do try to link to your text content. You do not want the readers to get confused.

When you say graphics do you mean infographics?

I have an old friend who makes these and I was thinking about having some of these on some of my blog posts.

Maybe 2 or 3 images will be ok for most of my blog posts then?

Saying descriptive text do you mean a caption below the images or some text in the image?
