How many social media websites to start with?

I'm just getting going a little more with my internet marketing work and have started to look at the social media websites to help grow a following. I will be building up a blog for this purpose and was wondering how many social media websites is good to start with.

Should I start with just 1 like maybe Facebook and go from there or try to use several of them to get going?

This all depends on you and the time and effort that you want to put into your internet marketing. It's usually best to use as many as you can handle and keep them updated properly as long as there will be some kind of benefits for your efforts.

If you want to start out with 1 till you are comfortable handling more then you can do that. I would recommend starting out on whichever one will be the most beneficial to your wants and needs.

Totally Depend in which niche you are working , you can use as many social media websites as you can but if you are not making targeted approach it will be waste of time nothing else.

Also you need to know basic TOS of each Social Media so that your accounts are good to go over there and you did't get Shadow Banned or something like that.

Try registering on all the major social platforms. You should try to study the social media algorithm first and then start posting relevant images that go well with your content.

I don't know much about the social media sites. What is "Shadow Banned"?

Shadow Banned means the posts / tweets which you have made can be seen only when you are logged in no other of your followers can see this.

Well if you stay organized and develop some kind of time management system then you should be able to handle several social media site activities along with whatever else you need to do with that amount of time.

Social media marketing has to be consistent to get the most benefits from it's use so keeping it up and regularly utilizing it for it's benefits can be quite helpful for your marketing efforts.

I would start with as many social media sites as you can handle, have the time for and are beneficial to your needs. Any that will benefit your marketing or site should be utilized as long as you have the time to attend to them as needed.

I was wondering this myself last year when I started doing internet marketing and after doing some reading about it I was seeing that many people recommend that you use all the social media websites that will benefit you and your marketing.

Whilst I don't use a whole lot of them myself I do use the ones that I think are the most benefit for my purposes.

I think one of the mistakes of many admins is having too many social networking accounts at the beginning. It takes you time and can not concentrate on building good at all. In my experience, I built facebook first, to be about 1-2K likes, then I expanded to twitter, pinterest, linkedin ...

I agree with you on that. I have seen some blogs that have 10-20 social media accounts that are basically inactive and of no use other than to say they have them.

It would be better to start with a few of the the ones that you might best benefit from, build those up, and then expand out as needed or wanted.

I am using just 3 right now until I learn how to do things better and then I will do more of them. I think you should just do a few until you know how to use them better. That way your social media accounts do not look like they are poor quality.

For starters, it would be better to use a social media site which you are already familiar with, say Facebook, Twitter and Instagram. These social media sites provide auto linking to their platforms already and with that you also save time. Then gradually add other sites like Pinterest, Youtube, etc. that can also help you build your online presence.

Rather than starting out using a lot of the social media websites it might be easier to just target the ones that should be best for the people you are looking for and then expand to using more as time and efforts permit.

Let start with facebook , twitter and LinkedIn , it is 3 social networks good for you looking for traffic.

It's totally depend upon your business services or product. What social profile is best for your business to get customer's attention. Research your competitors and learn which social profile are they using and start planning your strategies.
