Which one is better: Facebook or Twitter?

On the other hand if yours is B2B business (where your target audience are professionals like CEO, businessmen, Corporate world employees), twitter is way more resourceful.
Nice post! LinkedIn is also very good for reaching professionals I am told by some marketing friends. I haven't really tried LinkedIn myself since they are not really my main target audience. I always liked Twitter myself because I have gotten great results there.

Cheers, Dean.

I think Facebook and twitter both have the great potential to generate huge traffic. I get traffic from both of them. It depends on how you put your efforts to promote your site in these social networks and it vary from people to people.

I like facebook better, its not that twitter isnt good but it takes a while to build up followers / friends on both. Facebook has more options for creating pages and sharing stuff. On the flip site these sites both come down hard on spam. One advantage twitter has on the other hand, is it seems to allow plenty of porn to be posted everywhere.

I like Facebook better but that is partly because I am more familiar with it and have been using it for longer. Twitter just seems like it's less personal and that is part of why I like Facebook better.

It just depends on what you are trying to achieve and how you want to present yourself and your posts I think.

I like Facebook better than Twitter because I think you can be more personal there. Facebook groups is a great way to get contacts and hopefully build some good relationships with people. I think twitter is not too personal and will not be as good as Facebook for some niches.

I was thinking they were both maybe the same and it just depends on what you are doing and what niche you use but I am getting better results from Facebook nowadays so I think it is the better social media website.

Twitter is getting me more traffic to my blog right now so that one is my favorite between these two. It's just easier for me to use and I think it might be better for my niche so as long as it is doing well for my needs I will say that Twitter is my preferred choice.

I will always prefer Facebook. It is the social network that I use daily and the one that works best for me. I have an account on twitter, but I am a passive user. I do not share tweets, I only use twitter to be informed in real time because I think it is better than Facebook for that purpose.

Currently my focus has been on twitter getting loads of traffic, but I am looking into facebook marketing and FB ads. I did a small 1 week test with FB ads and was able to get some really targeted traffic for .07 per click.

You can also get free traffic by creating a fan page and sharing your ads and posts with groups that are like-minded or are similar to your niche. Only join groups with more than 10,000 members and you can hit 2 million in reach in no time. The only thing about this is Facebook jail for those that don't follow the rules, i.e., posting too often, approving too many friends at a time, etc. Take your time and it will work just fine.

I believe that both Twitter and Facebook have their perks. Even for promoting your products or services or for getting more traffic to your websites and blogs, these share an inevitable role. Some may feel that Facebook's better, while others may feel the same for twitter. Actually it depends on many constraints, such as how much popularity you have on these individual social media platforms, and how many subscribers or fans/or whatever you call it, connect to your account. If your Facebook account's got more subscribers/friends then you're likely to succeed better in driving more traffic using it. If it's Twitter then you will have the same benefit with it.

While both platforms have their strengths, I prefer Facebook.

Being limited to 140 characters is just a bit restrictive for me. And though I’ve not updated my twitter page in a while (a testament to my preference), I feel Facebook just meets my needs more. I can join groups pertaining to things that interest me. I can form groups and attract like-minded people. I can react in a range of ways now to other people’s posts. And I can chat, video call and leave voice messages via Facebook messenger. Hands down, Facebook is the one for me.

It's hard to pick a better one. They're different and centered on different aspects of communication: Facebook clutches onto the personal side of social networks, so there's a heavy focus on your profile, your timeline, your content, and the same goes for every other member there; Twitter, on the other hand, focuses more on content. It's all about sharing content and looking for tweets made by different accounts rather than following a single person.
That's obviously not everything there is to it, but that's what felt like the biggest difference to me. In light of this, I'd say I prefer Facebook. I like to see the kind of person there is behind a post of a photo for myself.

You can never answer exactly whether facebook is better or twitter is better. I have 6 K followers on Twitter. When I tweet my links, I get arounf 100 visitors within few minutes. I have just about 500 friends and followers on facebook, when I share my links on facebook, I get 10-20 visitors on the link. becaus eof this conversion rate twitter is better for me. However, years ago, when I had less fllowers on twitter, I got better visibility on facebook.

If we're talking about the quality of these social medias, I'd say Twitter is a lot better because of the privacy aspect of it and you have a lot of chance to have a celebrity answer to you, if you're interested in that. Also you won't read a lot of things that make no sense like on Facebook, which has been lately cluttered with fake news that will get shared all over it.

If we're talking about generating traffic, then Facebook is still the best for this, especially with the Facebook Ads. I always found it easier to get visibility there. Unless you have a lot of followers on Twitter, Facebook will be the best for user traffic.

Facebook is the king of social media networks. It has the largest use base, which means, if used properly, will bring you loads of traffic. Twitter is also great but it doesn't have the influence that Facebook has.

Facebook is a great marketing tool as it is a great socializing tool. You can post pictures for all your friends and followers to see and you can post links to your sites as well. Socializing and promoting are integrated seamlessly into one another that promotion becomes more natural.

There's also a lot more things to do on Facebook as compared to other social media sites. You won't get bored with it. Facebook all the way!

Twitter is a great way to increase traffic on your website/company. What you can do is connect your Facebook to your Twitter account so each time you post on one of them, you get to post it on the other too and you don't have to worry about having different things on both of those social medias.
