Posting on Twitter around the clock

Is it a good idea to post on Twitter around the clock? I usually post on there at hours that are morning, afternoon and evening where I am and not in the early hours of the morning.

I was wondering if it's worth the time to set something up for Tweets in the wee hours of the morning as well.

Does anyone know if this is a good idea or a waste of time?

It can be a good idea, especially if your followers, friends or target audience are one the social media sites at those times when you are not.

I usually try to schedule some of my social posts and Tweets at times throughout the day just to try to catch different people who may be checking things at those times.

It's up to you but I really don't think it can hurt.

Unless you have a real specific target audience and you know exactly when they are on the social media sites then it will probably be a wise idea to post around the clock at different times.

There are also some people who have varying times when they do things so posting around the clock can catch more people seeing your tweets.

I was thinking something like that myself so I will probably just try it and see if there is any good responses. Thanks

I have a target audience but nothing that has to do with timezones or anything like that so maybe it would be a good idea to post around the clock at different times.

You are welcome Jenny.

One thing that I do on some of my Twitter accounts is to try out different Tweeting times to see what kind of responses and action I get and the ones that do not perform well are changed until I find a time that works the best.

That may be something to consider.

Well then since your audience isn't specific to a certain time zone then I would post around the clock to make sure that everyone everywhere is covered.

That is what I started doing and it seems to be helping to grow new followers. I have slowed down a little these days because of a job promotion that needs more of my free time but I will pick things up more soon.

I always like to post at many different times in the day and night because different people are online and reading the tweets at different times. I usually try to send them every 6-8 hours so I can try to get more people to see them.

If the people that you are trying to reach are in different time zones then it would probably help to do that. I have started to do mine at different times and not a set time and I have been getting more retweets, likes and followers than I was getting before.

I started doing that but haven't so much lately because of time needs but I plan on starting to do it more. Based on my results when I first started doing this for a brief time it seems like it will be a good idea.

That is what I noticed myself when I was doing this more often. It makes sense if you are not targeting just a general area.

You can also use some of the services that you can setup many days of tweets so you can have more time for your other needs.

I have tried a couple of them but I was more concerned if whether or not it was worth my time or not.

If the people you are wanting to see your tweets are online at different times then it is worth it.
I have noticed that the people that are coming to my blog are from Europe, Asia and my home country of Canada so the time zones are vastly different.

I have been posting around the clock at many different times and keeping an eye on the stats I am getting so that I can decide which times are the best.

I, usually, tweet on daily basis.I tweet mostly in the late nights since the homepage is much more readable than during the day.I believe the most quality posts are tweeted in the night.
I would suggest you tweet when there is a huge traffic on your homepage.
Do you have many followers to whom you can reach out your ideas and thoughts ?
Make sure you collect as many as you can, trough honest tweeting and not being too aggressive, since a lot of followers might unfollow you if you tweet too much in the beginning.
Set up a network, good circle of users and I am sure tweeting around the clock should not be a problem.

I have a little over a thousand followers.

What do you mean when you are talking about reaching out? Do you mean sending them messages?

I have been trying to post around the clock for about 2 weeks now and I have gained a lot of new followers, retweets and likes so I think it is a really good idea.

I have been posting about 4 times a day, every 6 hours, and it has done really nicely for me.

You should post when the site is most active and whatever times are active in popular areas. Post in the morning or afternoon according to big cities like Los Angeles, NYC, Chicago, etc.
