What method do you prefer to use when purchasing products online?

Personally I prefer to use Paypal method and just pay off the balance in full when the statement is ready. I am not comfortable with making purchases with my debit card. Perhaps, I didn't want to share details about cards on the internet.

I am sure a lot of people share your sentiment that it is better to use PayPal or similar platforms than to provide credit card details, especially on websites where they collect that information... The exception to that is when I book flights or accommodation or on authority sites which are extremely well known e.g. Amazon...

I prefer using my credit card mostly for my online payments and purchases. PayPal might be safe but they also have issues with online payments for disputed amounts.

I prefer using my debit card for paying for online products. Its very dangerous to use your credit card to pay for products online. Heard and seen a lot of people who got scammed by paying online using their credit cards. Also, it is harder to have a payment dispute with your credit card company, you might end up black listed.

I can go either way. I do prefer CC though because of travel points :).

I've recently started using my paypal account for freelance pay, I usually use my Debit for online purchases, or any purchase for that matter because my pay is direct deposited on them. I do have a business paypal card now so that I can access funding for stores outside in the real world, in the event that I'm broke otherwise...lol

You can also use VCC if you don't want to disclose your CC details .

I use my debit card for online purchase. Paypal is not supported in many countries so you can't buy products or services from those countries though you have a Paypal. Moreover, some websites don't have the paypal option because of dispute function (probably). But credit/debit card facility is available in 99% websites. So I do prefer to use my cards.

I always prefer Paypal as it gives an extra layer of protection when you are making purchases versus just using a credit card by itself. Iprefer to pay through Paypal by using a credit card that is in my Paypal account. That way if there is an issue I can go through both the Paypal and credit card issuer to resolve the matter if it's needed.

    Cheers, Dean.

Personally I prefer to use Paypal for several reasons but one of the main reasons is that I always have money in my Paypal account from sales, payments received, etc. so it makes it easier because then I don't have to do a bank withdraw as often.

Plus I am not too fond of having to deal with the credit card companies customer support if/when a problem occurs. ;)

Negative, The most secure way to pay online is using Credit cards. Look If under certain circumstances if your debit cards details get compromised than anybody can use it to buy anything online and there is no protection from the bank if the amount is debited from your account. While in Credit card if some steal and bought something online. You simply have to file a compliant or chargeback with your credit card company and you will surely get your money back.

Lately I have been using mostly my credit cards to make my online purchases. I was using Paypal for a while though.

I use both Paypal and my credit cards. I usually like to use Paypal but not everyone takes it as a payment source so for those I use my credit cards.

I prefer paying with debit card. Moreover, European Card have a featured called 3D secure, which makes you unable to pay with a stolen card even though you have all data. You need a unique code that is generated for each transaction through email or phone number. It is rather improbable for someone to steal anything from you.

I like to use paypal because if something goes wrong or if you get scammed then they will help protect you and can get your money back.

In case you have made payment as " Friends & Family " it can't be reversed or when you open a dispute and seller provides " shipping details " you can't do anything .

In that scenario you can drop a chargeback from your Credit Card .

Now , its time for cryptocurrency most of the sellers are using Wallets for taking payment and you both stay anonymous in that case . BTC is doing good now a days.

I knew that about making payments to family and friends but you are saying you can still do a chargeback in that case if payment was made that way?

Yes , if you have made payment using Credit Card Attached with Paypal , not with paypal Balance you can do a chargeback using CC issure company.

Call Paypal AM get in touch with them , call your bank ( Credit Card ) explain them that it was a unauthorized transaction which was made unknowingly and make a chargeback.
