Is Hostgator good web hosting?

When a new company buys another company they mostly do it for profit so they make some changes to get higher profit. They do not care too much about customers and money and profits are the main priority.

I understand that because that is business but they still need to think about their business and profits in the long term.

It used to be good but the quality of service has declined ever since EIG took over gator. You would want to look for the reviews on different hosting sites.

I read a post that said that EIG buys good web hosting companies and then after that they provide poor services to the customers. The said they are doing it to combine all the hosting companies into a bigger one and lower costs by using some same support and other things. That is bad for existing customers that do not know about EIG.
