Is it good to use an autoresponder?

I was wondering if using an autoresponder for my subscribers is a good idea or not. I didn't know if it seemed like it was not professional or not.

Are autoresponders a good idea or a bad idea?

Any help or information on these would be really appreciated.

Many people use autoresponders so I don't think that it would look unprofessional at all. It helps to get a reply to people right after contact and sometimes that can be helpful.

I think it is good to use an autoresponder because you can reply to people faster. Even if you just use one to say that your message was received.

I use one for my signups to let them know that they have been successfully subscribed.

When I am subscribing to something many times I will get an automated message that is probably just sent from an auto responder so I think it is very common to use them. I think you are fine to use them if it helps your marketing.

Right now I just send my replies manually but I have been thinking about using these to help give me more time for other things.

I think if your time is in short supply then using an autoresponder would be a good idea.

If you are building a mailing list you should use an autoresponder.

I would consider getting a separate domain to use for all mailings you do with the autoresponder. That way if you ever start to have any deliverability issue, it won't be your main domain name.

Make sure you set up SPF. If you don't know what that is, just ask the AR service for help.

Additionally, I would set up seed accounts to test your inbox deliverability.

For many, AOL, Hotmail/Outlook, Gmail, and Yahoo and parent domains using the same mx, can make up as much as 85-90% of their list. So at the very least, you should start with them and any other seed accounts you can set up or acquire.

Also, just get a free trial account to start and test your seeds. If you have any spam folder problems I would complain. If they don't fix, at least you didn't spend any money.

If you can't respond to people in a timely manner then I think using an autoresponder will be a good idea.

You don't want to wait for some things before your reply.

It depends on if you want to or not and if you have many emails to send. If it is only a few then it will be fine to do them yourself but the autoresponder will save some time so that will be the easiest to do. This way you have more time for other internet marketing things.

I don't think it would look unprofessional to most of the people because this is a very common thing these days. I think they would understand that not every person can reply back themself.

I don't like reading emails that using autoresponders, it looks like I am chatting with a robot and I think it is just a good idea when you are in a holiday and you have to use this feature to let your customers/friends know you are not available to contact at that time.
