Are Facebook groups a good way to promote affiliate offers?

I have read that many people have been successful using Facebook groups for making money with affiliate marketing but I can not find out exactly how they do it and if they really are good for affiliate marketing.

Are Facebook groups good for affiliate marketing and if they are then what are the do's and don'ts that should be done?

I have never done this myself but I saw something once that said something about promoting the offers directly to the group was not good and it's best to try to post the offers on a website of yours and to try to get the members to come and check out your offers there.

I was wondering about that and I did not want to promote the affiliate offers if there was a negative side to doing it. Thank you for sharing your findings.

Some of the Facebook groups are real strict about not posting affiliate offers and doing so can get you kicked out so be careful.

I agree with @Will247 on his statement. You really have to be careful on how you market in many of the Facebook groups. Many will cost you your spot in the group if you are marketing things in the groups directly.

There are some that you can do it without anything bad happening but you should feel out the group and maybe ask some questions before you go promoting your affiliate offers in the groups directly.

I will be very careful now that I know this. Thank you

Ok then I will try to ask before posting anything I am not certain about. Thank you

Be careful because you might get some people angry if you are posting what they think is spam. I posted a link and short description for a review that I did and I had 2 people get angry and saying I was just there to spam.

don't think this is effective. A lot of Facebook group admins are strict about posting on their group and when you violate that rule, you'll get kicked out which we do not want to happened. Some of the members of the group join that group with the same agenda which is to market their product on that group so for me, I prefer creating my own Facebook page or website that can attract traffic.

If you are talking about using Facebook ads then I don't think that you are allowed to market your offers directly through them. I was reading about it last week (I think) and saw something about that.

I am not an expert about it so just check into that first before buying ads there.

That is why I was concerned if it was good or not. I do not want to anger people or have them get mad.
I'm using FB groups posting to ads for my app, so far so good.

Just read their rules first before asking to join their group. Don't post a huge, FB will ban your account (but for a short time only)
Then I should just post sometimes and then wait a while before I try it again?

Is it best to contact the admins and see if what I am wanting to post if OK with them?

No I was not talking about using paid advertisements. Just regular postings on groups.

I understand you because I am that way myself. Perhaps you should ask some of the other members what they think or what is usually allowed and not allowed.

I have asked a couple of people that I have had conversations with in one of the groups and they said that it all depends on what you are posting and if you are making some kind of contributions to the group.

If you make no contributions and are just being there to promote then that will not be accepted.

This was just of the groups but I suspect it is similar in most of them.

You are right I would think. Most of the people in the groups are probably not wanting to be there just to see a lot of affiliate offers. They are probably wanting to gain something from the use of the group.

I feel that sending in your affiliate link into a Facebook group is counterproductive. These people in the group are a potential targeted customer to the the things you are trying to sell. From personal experience, when I see people post things in Facebook groups that lead straight to a sales page, I feel very wary of buying, in that the product may be low quality and the poster was just trying to make a quick buck. That's just my two cents on it!

i think you can do a post about the affiliation in facebook group if they are accepting offers from others affiliates members or if the facebook group was created just for the affiliates team and stranger can pass by just like window shopping then they can freely choose and ask for it. i have encountered this scenario when i join to a group of bitcoin miner, we used to post about the bitcoin things, and the affiliation as well and they use a group to gather a potenitial customer.

The content must be very engaging for it to be put to Facebook groups. Otherwise, it would not be effective as you would think. I tried being an affiliate marketer for Agoda because I love travelling and the rewards that I supposedly would gain will be helpful for cheap bookings. But they said that I should have my own website for me to be able to do that.

Yeah of course, if you have a lot of groups in facebook, it's possible that one of them is going to buy your item or product from affiliating, and I think much better to find some URL shorten er site, to earn more money, even they are not going to buy, but once they click or check the website you will have the commission, aside from earnings in affiliating program, you will earn also in URL shorten er. Imagined if how many members do you have in your group, and all of them will visit the site or even just to click it.

There are facebook groups that allow advertising. However, it is very hard to make sales and get referrals because everyone is in there trying to do the same thing. Your best bet would be to join Facebook groups that pertain to your business and build relationships. Usually in these groups they have specific days you can promote your links. I have even made some sales from an affiliate program that I was promoting.

Oh, I see your point. I guess that many people might think that way also.

I have wondered about bitcoin earning myself but I never thought about checking into Facebook groups to learn about it. I will have to try that. :)

I have not heard of Agoda, is that a travel affiliate?

Do you mean to use the url shorteners that pay you when people click on advertisements?

That is what I have been trying to do. I put my affiliate marketing on pause for a couple of months and I am not back at it. I think the way you suggest is a good way to do it.
