Hi Argel241,
Where is your location right now? are you in US now?. It's strange because when I sign up to my paypal account I link my local bank here in the Philippines and paypal accepted it. They did not require me to have US bank account.

Maybe you have your location set that you are in the US and that is why it is asking for a US bank. I am in the UK and have a UK bank and everything works fine for me here.

Try checking your settings to see what is says for your address. Maybe you set it to the US by accident or Paypal set it that way by default.

In my country which is the Philippines, the first time I was able to in cash my money from Paypal was through EON card Unionbank account. But for now, you can link paymaya account to be able to withdraw money from paypal, though I haven't tried it yet. But people I know was able.

That's probably because you are not yet done verifying your bank account. You need to link your bank account to your paypal account through the net and also personally appearing before the bank. They have this policy called KYC or know your costumer I think. You first need to comply with this bank policy. Or probably, your country just don't allow paypal to be used.

Yes, you can withdraw through Paypal by linking a bank account or a credit card. Login to Paypal -> Link a card. Then you will have the option to link either debit or credit card, usually they charge you with like 3-4 bucks but will return your money once they confirmed your account. You can check on your bank account statement the charge made together with Paypal code to verify.

I have been using Paypal since 2006, so we already have 11 years of experience with there service. By the way I am in another country, in the Philippines actually and you can withdraw lots of ways from here.
using a bank account
1) Send a check for deposit in your bank
2) transfer it from Paypal directly to your bank eg BPI, Unionbank, and BDO
3) get a prepaid Visa card from Unionbank and withdraw it from ATM Machine

if you don't have a bank account,
4) use prepaid cards of Payoneer and PayMaya and withdraw it in ATM Machine
hope this can help.

I checked my PayPal setting and the address is correct.My location is in Qatar and the address is where I reside.But the default currency is USD because there is no QR currency on the list so I choose USD.Is this the reason why I need to link to US bank account?

Hi, I am also from the Philippines but since I am currently living in Qatar, I have to create a PayPal account from Qatar.The thing is that I have a BDO account in the Philippines and that card I added to my PayPal.I did not use the local bank here because I was thinking maybe I can transfer the fund to that bank but unfortunately things went wrong for me.Another thig is that the default currency on my Paypal is USD because Qatar currency is not available on the list.I can't even use my PayPal to pay in Philippine online shop like lazada because they don't accept Qatar account.This is my issue with PayPal.It sucks!

You can withdraw your money from PayPal even if you are outside US. Here in the Philippines, we have prepaid credit card like GCash. You just have to link your GCash account to your PayPal. Then you can transfer your money by clicking the Cash-In on your GCash.

I am in Jordan, and there is an option to withdrawal to a local bank account or Credit Card, and I think PayPal do this for all countries outside USA.
