1 or 2 sidebars?

I like the 2 sidebar setups on some websites also but it kind of depends on what the site is about and what is put in them. If you really like them then you can try a 2 sidebar setup and just see how it looks and if you or your visitors don't like the way it looks then you can change it later.
One thing that I have noticed when looking at themes is that some look good with 2 sidebars and some don't. I might have to take that into consideration also.

I like a single sidebar on a blog because it helps to give a bigger area to show off your posts and their images better.

I prefer them on the right side of the page also because it makes it easier for me to read the posts since most of us read left to right it just helps find the edge of the page faster.

That's a good point to bring up and one that I had not thought about. The same things goes for 2 sidebar setups also.

I'll remember that. Thanks

Glad to help out when I can. I am 1 of those people that likes things to be as easy as possible and reading a blog post quickly is part of that which is why I prefer the sidebar on the right.

Yeah it can definitely make a difference from one theme to another as well as from one developer to another. That's one reason why I spend a lot of time when I am looking at new themes.

I have been doing that a lot these last couple of weeks. It seems like there is actually too many themes to choose from.

I completely agree with you but it does make for a larger selection and more chances of finding the perfect theme for our uses. It just might take a while to actually find it.

I guess you have a point there. It's better to have too many choices than to have not enough of them.

If you have a specific use that you are looking for one of them for then you can try searching for something like 'best _____ wordpress themes' or something like that.

I might give that a try. I had not worded things that way in my searches so maybe that can narrow down things for me a little. Thanks Ben
