Is the eBay affiliate program any good?

I just wouldn't know what the best way to promote it would be.
Most of what I have seen is people promoting products on their websites or blogs that are related to the niche and content on them. If you have a cooking blog then promote/market cooking and related items as an example.

That sounds right then. I will have to check out the program when I am ready. Thanks

I was looking at the ebay affiliate program and it kind of seems like it would be best if you had a website that got a lot of traffic on it to promote their items. I don't know for sure but that's how it seemed to me.

A lot of traffic would of course be best but I think that you could do well as long as you had good quality targeted traffic to your website and ads with related items.

Cheers, Dean.

I think that if the visitors to your website are from countries that ebay is popular in then you might do quite well but if they are from countries that are not that big into ebay then it might be hard to make a good income from it. I'm pretty new to some things but that just seems like it would be the case.

I've been seeing some posts on the ebay affiliate program and have seen some nice success stories so I have wondered if I should utilize this program on my upcoming blogs.

I just don't know how it works given ebay listings end all the time so I don't know how you would keep your ads updated and current.

I don't know much about the ebay affiliate program but I know some people who use it and I think they mentioned that there is some ad code that automatically pulls current listings so you do not have to keep updating them yourself so there is no need to worry about old or outdated listings.

Well that makes sense then. I didn't know that was a feature of the program and I thought it would just be difficult to keep updated ads. That eliminates that problem.

Many affiliate programs for similar types of selling places do that so that your advertisements are always updated. If they did not do that then they would not sell as much.

Yeah I guess you are right there. I hadn't thought about that.

This is something a lot of people ask about, especially because you want to know if it's worth your time. Most of the time the ebay affiliate program gets compared to the amazon one. I don't know a lot of specific informations about it, but I remember reading complaints everywhere because they changed the way referral data is collected. People told me it wasn't an option to consider anymore due to this change.

I have seen a lot of comparisons to the Amazon affiliate program as well. I really don't know too much about the ebay program and haven't heard a lot about people making a lot of money from it.

I hate wasting time with an affiliate program which won't produce reasonable results so given what I have read recently and gotten as far as input from people I will probably skip it for now.

Thanks for your input, it's appreciated. :)

Thanks for sharing your experience with the ebay affiliate program Vinaya. I was wondering if it was worth getting started with but it seems like many people are saying similar things and that the program was not a very well earning one.

It might work well for some people but it just seems like there are so many that have not done real well with them. It's probably a better idea to check into some other programs.

I'm using them on my blog, the best bet is to have a blog or a forum with much traffic and choose products that would fit your blog niche.

You could write reviews on these products and then add the links to them.

Have you ever tried using the Amazon affiliate program as well?

I ask because a lot of people seem to compare them to each other in reviews and blog posts but I really haven't heard directly from anyone who has used both.
