How can I speed up my web browser?

My web browser has been going real slow these last days and I already clear the history and the cookies but that does not make it any better. I look in google and they only say to clear the history and cookies but I did that and it did not get better. Does any body have any other ideas to fix this?

What browser are you using now? Please make sure that you don't have plenty of plugins installed with your browser. Sometimes using lot of extensions and plugins can slow down your browser. Disable all the plugins and extension and check that your browser works great.

My browser is slow too and I have some of those installed. Do those really slow down your browser? I thought that they were supposed to make the browser better.

Most of the time I am using internet explorer because that one is the first one I used and I know it better. Sometime I use firefox or chrome but usually internet explorer. I do not think there are any plugins since I never installed any of them.

Well since you have stated that you are using Internet Explorer then one thing that you can do if you want a faster browsing experience is to get a new browser.

Firefox and Chrome are ok but they are not the fastest browsers out there. If you are looking for just speed then I would recommend either SRWare Iron or SlimJet browsers. They are the fastest of all browsers that I have tested and the tests are done on several machines.

If you switch from internet explorer to another web browser then you will probably find out that it was what was slow itself. I switch to opera and chrome and they are much faster than internet explorer.

Out of all the Chromium web browsers that I have tried, and that's a lot, Opera was the most bloated and used the most disk space and RAM.

I used to use it regularly but have gotten away from it and now it's just there as a backup.

I just updated my Chrome browser and it seems like there has been a big speed improvement over the version I was using previously so you might be able to update your browser and get it to run faster.

Dumping Internet Explorer and getting a new browser will be the quickest way to speed things up. IE is awfully slow buddy.

If you are using Internet Explorer try switching to Google Chrome or Mozilla Firefox. Both works fine. Or if that is not the case, maybe remove some or all of the plugins you have on your browser. Check for some updates on your browser as well, it may be that your browser is an older version. If this doesn't help I am so sorry to say, there's nothing left for me to say aside from this.

If the above suggestions do not work, try scanning your PC maybe have some virus that can affect the speed of your browser and try un-installing some downloads program and clean your junks. And also make sure your desktop is not full because it can also affect the speed of your PC.If still not work check your internet maybe it is down.

I have a antivirus called norton and it always says everything is fine. I did not know that the desktop can slow down browsers. Mine is very full so I will try doing this. Thanks mate.

I have tried many different browsers but I keep going back and using firefox because it seems like it is faster for me and with some others I keep having problems with them crashing. Firefox does not do that to me that often and chrome is the worst one for me on that.

When I have used firefox recently it just does not seem to be any different from other browsers for me. I am using it now but do not notice much differences in the speed.
