Uptime monitoring tool?

Are there any good tools i can use to monitor my web hosting uptime. I am currently using online tools such as Pingdom or uptimerobot , but few of its reports seems invalid and hosting says nothing like that happened. I want to monitor uptime for 24 hours or more days.

I have used Pingdom and UptimeRobot. These are probably the 2 best web based website monitors. From my experience, UptimeRobot is a little bit more accurate, but all of them can have false positives.

You can use multiple website monitors for the same website. If one says your site is down, bit the other says its up, its probably up. If both say its down, its probably down.
