Quality vs. Quantity?

When you buy a service or a product, what do you place more importance on? Is it on quality or quantity? What are your reasons for your choice?
I'd like to know more different opinion so i can improve user experience on my web store

In my line of work about content writing, quality is supreme.

The Search Engines in today's environment are going for quality which means that I would be out of a job if I focused on quantity and compromised on quality.
