Inbound link by far has the greatest benefit as it can bring in link juice from an external site to your site... Inbound links are also known as backlinks... These are the building blocks to getting your site to rank on the search results.

Internal links are links which are located on your site and when clicked go to another place on your site... With internal links you can funnel link juice to a specific post/page... This is how silo's work...

Use both to your advantage... Lets say you get some great backlinks to a post A|B|C... you could then funnel that link juice to another post D on your blog with the use of an internal links from ABC pointing to D... In addition internal links help Google better understand your site with examining your anchor text and how it relates to your content...

Both inbound and internal links help in improving website rank in search engines. The more the inbound links coming from high authority domains, the more the link juice shared to your website. This helps to drive traffic and also rank keywords in search results.
