How long did it take you to be accepted in Dmoz?

Have you ever been accepted onto the DMOZ directory? How long did it take you to be accepted?

If my site gets listed in Dmoz, its rankings can be improved?

It takes some months or even years.

But you can ignore it to focus on other methods. I have seen more sites listed in Dmoz but its rankings on SERPs are very nothing and less traffic.

So I think it doesn't help more in improve rankings.

Yes, I have checked by fellow webmasters blog go up in Dmoz. But it was not before we left hope for its listing. I don't think we get much benefit in listing our website in DMOZ. Its same as listing in other web directories.
