Twitter is the easiest to gain sales because if you tag your followers in your URL posts most of the time at least one person will re-tweet it.
The great thing about twitter is if you make your timeline interesting as well as tweets with your URL more people will follow and check out your product/service.
Send out a tweet welcoming all your new followers with your URL attached, people like to feel personable with you even in cyber space. A shout out can go a long way.

You can also use url shorter websites to shorten your links , Then place some attractive and useful content , and if possible with a Pic . Use # tag for sure with your niche/keyword and get some good & converting traffic from there .

Do you think 4000 followers are enough to generate sales for our websites?
I heard someone said that we need 20K followers to get a sale from Twitter when tweeting our services on it, is it right?

Depends upon followers you are getting , organic /inorganic and whether they are related to your niche or not.

Suppose you have created a profile for " Men apparel store " , and followers you are getting are from other keyword so when you will tweet something with your affiliate link and pics they don't bother to check that for them its useless.
Organic followers are those who are really interested in your tweets , they are not bot created neither from exchange sites .

Yes, they are enough if they are targeted, related to your niche and real organic. Then you will definitely makes some sale.

I don't think the quantity of followers is matter, but the quality followers. Actually, I have 2 twitter account and all of them are around 1k+ follow with high interaction rate - I always get over 50 retweet every time I tweet..
You know..? The most of my twitter followers connected with me on Facebook. I spend time for communicate with those people, and build relationship.

Twitter works quite well for me personally. I get quite a bit of traffic from it and a good amount of conversions. The key is not to over-Tweet and not to come off looking like you are just trying to spam. Try to keep your Tweets looking nice, clean and professional looking and that can help.
People will notice cheap and trashy looking Tweets and not respond as you would like. Also make sure to have an image attached to your Tweets as that can make a big difference with the responses that your Tweets get.

Ive made e-book sales off small twitter accounts, but I also was able to convert CPA offers with twitter back in the day pretty easily.

You have to post Tweets that are interesting to people and also have a nice image that catches their eyes so they would want to click on link you put in your Tweets. Then have the links go to a nice looking page with goof information and images as needed.
You want to get people interested in what you are Tweeting about so they will go to your website and hopfully buy whatever you are trying to sell or have them sign up for.

Sure, you can make sales from twitter.I'm into affiliate sales and I make much of my sales from twitter.
All you need is good organic followers. they will as well retweet your information to even get to their followers and it goes in that way.

So far, I am not sure which trades I have made through Twitter because I use it to generate traffic at my blogs, and I have just not yet broken down the data on this, nor do I know how to as of yet? Is there an efficient and cheap way of tracking this information? Good post/question here.

Post Goo.gl links over Twitter when you are doing tweets .
Then to get info of that link how many clicks you got from that browser simply goo.gl/info and it will display all the info .
For Example :

Yes, I have many subscribers that subscribe to my tweets and so I can achieve the targets with my Twitter social media account. But it's not the only account I keep for marketing purposes. I use instagram, Facebook, Google+, and other social media as well. I have achieved relatively better success using this approach. I guess it's always better to let your marketing stats follow in every direction and to exploit the power of every known, legitimate, and powerful social media. This is good for sales.
