    Hi all,

I am new to this forum. I joined here with the hopes of getting some answers to my questions.

I wish to get some ideas to advertise my newly opened bookstore in Canada. This is a joint venture with my friends. As our new venture, we want to make it a successful one. And we are thinking of marketing our shop. We do not want the traditional old methods. Instead, we are looking for some fresh ideas which will generate quick results.

All of us have been doing a lot of research before we decide on something. I too did my part of research.
Basically, static posters are placed in large number on multiple locations to attract attention. It is said that it is one of the most effective ways to reach the city consumers. And also helps to enhance your brand credibility.

But there is also a confusion regarding this. There are various types of wild posting advertising. I am unsure regarding which would be the best for our bookstore.
Any help regarding this would be greatly appreciated. Has anyone adopted this method for advertising your business? And was it successful? Looking forward to expert suggestions on this.
    Thank you.

Hello @cooper , Are you targeting only your Local Market for the BookStore. If yes then it can be a good option for you.

If you are looking for online advertising you can go for Facebook Ads as you can easily select the target audience.

    Thanks for the reply.
We are mainly targeting the local market. But I think it would be a good idea to use Facebook ads as well. That will give us more publicity.

You can easily target Area Specific , Gender , Age , Search Criteria etc over your campaign .

Add Facebook Pixel over your website which will help you out.

Have you tried Facebook groups for your niche? Those might be something good to try.

Not really. Have not yet tried Facebook groups. Currently, we are focusing more on wild post advertising. Because this would be a better method to reach out to the local city customers.

Have you also tried craigslist advertising there? I have a friend who live in Canada and he says he gets good leads and traffic from using craigslist. You might want to check on that.

This is good for local advertising. You should also try Google Ads to increase your brand awareness as this is a new store. Also, add your website in the list of bookstores in Canada.
