I always choose .com extension as my first choice, what is your choice?

What is your most favorite domain extension?

Well, the question should have been "besides .com" because that's obviously the most wanted by far.

Mine would be .io :D

I personally like the new ".host" and ".hosting" domains, obviously. However, I find the new ".ninja" extension to be quite amusing as well.

The .com is my favorite, maybe because I am just old and set in my ways! ;)

I like some others, depending on what they are used for. I always liked the .info for informative sites and .biz for business sites but I would only use them if the .com isn't available and there wasn't any other options.

With the hundreds of new ones coming out all the time it's going to be hard to know/spot a real extension from one that isn't real (or isn't real yet).

Cheers, Dean.

Mine is .com for a couple of reasons. First, it was the domain extension for my first domain that I bought back in 95'.

Second, it makes me the most money from my domain sales! ;)

I do like some of the new ones but many of them are a freakin' joke! How about .pink? Need I say more? ;)

I prefer the .com baby! That's what everyone thinks of when they don't know what a domains full address is.

I like the .com one because it is used the most but if it is for something in a certain country then another could be a good choice. Here in the U.K. the .co.uk is seen quite often as one that is used often so the country ones can be a good choice too. :)

I personally use .com for most of my website, but this differs if I'm trying to target a specific geo location. I have a few India related websites in which I use the .in extension as it serves a much better purpose in India. Another geo location extension which is seen quite prevelant is the .co.uk which is being seen more and more which represents the United Kingdom.

I recently got a .hosting which covers "host" and "hosting" and love it.
Why haven't you registered the .hosting domain for your hosting company? It looks real good with HostXNow and .hosting at the end and has a real nice ring to it as well. ;)

If if just to 301 it to the .com.

If there was "Web" in the domain then I would have probably done it because it would be Web Host and Web Hosting. But I don't see the point repeating host and hosting again. I like the .hosting because it means you don't have to put the words "host" or "hosting" in the domain name itself.

Plus I spent enough already on domains that were pointless in the past. I don't bother with that anymore. I even had another.host which was catchy but I let it expire .. saving money. :Icon Mrgreen:

I still like the way that it sounds. "HostXNow Hosting"! ;)

I can't even tell you how many times I had done that in the past before I got to the point of thinking things over completely before I registered or bought domains.
