Affiliate advertisements in the header

I was looking at some wordpress themes and there seem to be many of them that have places to put advertisements in the header area of the theme. Most have spots on the right side of the header FYI.

What do you guys think of putting affiliate advertisements in the header area of a blog?

I think that they would be fine to put in the header ares as long as they were appropriate to what is on your website and they did not look cheap.

Of course I would make sure that they don't look cheap and appropriate. I was just curious if it looked bad that perhaps the first thing people see when they come onto your site is an advertisement.

If the advertisements do not look bad or make your website look like a low quality or spam kind of website then it should be fine to put one in the header area.

I have not put them in mine because I did not find any that I liked the way they looked there. I put my social media icons there.

I don't usually place affiliate advertisements in the header area of my sites but when I have done it in the past I made sure that they were not real big (468x60 max), looked nice and clean and were appropriate for what was on my site.

I think as long as you have something that doesn't make your site look cheap or spammy then you should be fine with putting them there if you want to.

It is good to putting affiliate advertisements in the header. Now it's become a trend now a days, many bloggers doing the same thing.
