What is the best brand of SSD hard drives

I saw a couple of days ago that Intel has some new SSD drives that are supposed to be the next generation for SSD technology and the things I read said they set a new standard for many things.

If you want the best then you can check them out but if you are worried at all about cost then you might not be interested in them because usually the newest things in tech are the most expensive.
I think I saw those on a website I was looking at for an SSD. The prices are about the same as the other big brands so the new technology is not really more expensive than the old for the good brands. I might think about these.

I was looking at hard drive upgrades for my laptop not long ago and I found that there are also hard drives called hybrid drives where they are part spinning hard drive and part SSD to you get more storage and cheaper prices. I forgot to mention these but maybe you can look at them to see if they are something you might want.

I saw some of those but I did not know if I should think about those kind or just get a regular SSD. I am mostly worried about a faster hard drive so I will probably just get a regular SSD.

The ones that @Michael is referring to are called SSHD meaning"Solid State Hybrid Drive" and I looked into those myself not long ago. They are part spinning hard drive with a large SSD like buffer/cache that can help load things quicker as it can keep some information stored and make it easily accessed.

The thing with them is that the performance is better than a traditional spinning hard drive but not as good as a true SSD. The thing is that you can get a lot more storage space with these for a price that is cheaper than an SSD.

They are a good option if you want a lot of space and a little better performance than a traditional hard drive but don't want to spend the price to get a large SSD.

There are some good ones out there and if I remember correctly Seagate has some real good ones at good price. You might want to check them out a little more.

The most important thing I wanted was for things to load faster and to have my PC start faster when I turn it on. I want more space also but I want something faster than what I have now because it is too slow to load programs and to start.

I will look more at these and see if I can find some of the speed ratings to see if they are good for me.

Then if the most important thing you are looking for is speed then you will want to go with an SSD. The hybrids are faster than traditional spinning hard drives but an SSD is going to be faster.

If you want speed as your main feature the true SSD drives will be the fastest. You just have to get a smaller one for the same money but if that doen't matter then go with a true SSD.

I think I will just pay the extra for the SSD because it is what I think will help my computer to be faster.

Many brands of SSDs are available in the market. One needs to select that SSD that has the best specification and the price. Some the best brands are Samsung, SanDisk, OCZ Vector and Crucial MX.
I never heard of OCZ Vector and Crucial MX. These are new brands?

Yes I think I will buy a true SSD for the speed to help my computer be faster.

That can help your computer in some areas with speed. What about the RAM in your computer, do you have a decent amount?

When I upgraded the memory on my laptop some time ago the man at the computer shop said that Samsung was the best ones to get. I asked how else I could make my laptop go faster and he said changing to an SSD hard drive was good and he said Samsung were the best. It has been several months so I don't know if anything changed or not but you can do some looking in Google.

Some people and some reviews of SSD say that Samsung is one of the best. I might get one of these brands.

@KeralMTG , RAM and CPU upgrades might help too depending on what you have now and the upgrade capabilities of your computer.
I was also going to upgrade the ram because mine is able to be upgraded to add more but I don't know about the cpu. I have to check because some can not be replaced and I don't know if mine can or not.

@KeralMTG , The RAM will probably make the biggest difference unless you are using some software that requires a lot of CPU power for calculations and things like that. You should be able to search for your model and "CPU Upgrades" in Google and find out if you can upgrade it or not.

The RAM will surely be my next upgrade. I will probably wait on doing the CPU or not do it at all.

That sounds like a good plan. Usually the CPU upgrades don't show much performance increase if anything al all unless you are using software that is heavily CPU dependent.

Most times these days I am just doing things online and some times writing my blog posts in Microsoft Word. I don't use anything that uses high CPU I think.

Then the RAM and SSD upgrades are going to be the ones you will see the biggest impact with. I'm not too sure about how much the SSD upgrade will do other than launching your OS and programs faster but the RAM increase can really help a lot from my own personal experience.

In my personal opinion it is Samsung. The reputation of the brand is enough. It is constantly innovating and have been there for many decades. It has come around with many different segments of product types in the ssd niche. You may see all sort of ssd available with relatively new kinds of technologies. They are constantly bringing creative ideas and far more better products than the other brands. This brand deserve all the praise it needs.
