Hey everyone,
Just curious, do you still use forums for advertising?

Could forums bring me more new customers?

Forums are awesome traffic sources if you use them properly and if you invest enough time into them.

They could definitely bring you new customers as long as the forums you are promoting/advertising on have the exact same audience that you are trying to attract to your website. I still use them and I still recommend them to other people.

Forums are good places to bring traffic to your website. But they often provide us with inorganic traffic for our website. Forums are helpful only for advertising and generating a handful of traffic which may not be much useful for your website.

I get some good result by simply putting my website link in signatures of the forums which I have join and regularly participating. It drives some good traffic to my website which converts very well.

Yes people still use forums for advertising and they are great for advertising, marketing/promoting and more in many ways. First, you can join forums and build good working relationships with people who could turn out to be potential clients/buyers by helping people with any problems and/or issues that they might have.

When forum members see you active on the forum and helping in topics they will start to trust you more and more and that can be good for business.

Another way that forums can be good for advertising is to help generate good quality and targeted traffic through your signature (if they are available) as well as through banner ads found around the forums. Many people don't realize that many forums get a huge amount of traffic and that can be a lot of eyes on your banner ads, which in turn can wind up being clicked and generating sales.

Forums are good for advertising all kinds of products and services, so don't ever be afraid to give forum advertising a good effort and learn what it can do for you and your business/website/etc. ;)

off course, forum are still being a good source to advertise your brands, and it also provide better traffic and backlinks.
I agree and I know that many people don't take advantage of advertising on forums and especially forums with members that are possible customers.

Forums are often overlooked as good sources of advertising. Forum advertising is also one of the most cost-effective forms of advertising because you can get a lot of exposure for your products or services at good prices. ;)

I don't use forums for advertising yet but I am going to soon when my sites are done. I think they are a good choice if you are in a forum that has people interested in similar things as what you are advertising.

Check the sig. That answer your question? On a serious note, I only post on forums if I try to contribute, but it really can be a good source. Forum profiles can sometimes be good dofollow backlinks, you just have to find the right ones. It can take alot of time to comb through good forums.

For example, there are easily 20-30 internet marketing forums if you really look, but many only get posted on occasionally. I have about 5-10 that are actually worth checking for updates. There are also plenty of forums in other niches, but maybe not as many.

I am the same way. I have always tried to contribute on any forum I have ever been on. I think that if people see you contributing and helping then that will gain respect and trust and those can really help your brand/name.

Forums are still used for advertising and they probably will be used for advertising as long as they are around. Forums are one place that you can find potential clients or customers that are interested in things that you might be advertising.

They are usually real casual and you can not only talk and discus the topic of the forum but most have an area of the forum to talk about whatever you want as well.

Forums get a lot of traffic from search engines which can bring potential clients or customers to see what you are advertising and they are usually lower priced advertising than many other advertising options.

If you'd kindly send me the list of these 20-30 forums I'd appreciate it :)

Because yes, forums are a great way to share knowledge and also tools, services, etc that others in the same niche might like, and I personally have had a lot of success with advertising there.

I think you mean advertising is attract audience and convert them to customer. So my answer is no because forum cannot do advertising directly. It would helps if you need to promote your website or brand name, not to sell products.

All the forums that I am a member of have advertising on them so sure they still use them. I think that because so many people use forums to find out stuff and talk to each other they are good advertising options for some people and companies. I think you just have to be careful which ones you advertise on because I see a lot of them are full of spam posts to promote the members stuff.
