Personally, I try not to overthink about what I'm going to write. Whenever an idea came across my mind, I work around that idea and see how I can make an entertaining, and / or informative article out of it. I used to publish what I wrote right away, but now I'm drafting a lot, tinkering and polishing my articles before publishing them.

Before even writing the article - I spend time understanding my target audience and their pain points...

Such as collating questions and concerns they have such as from social groups, forums etc... From there I aim to write an informative article which helps and best of all its highly related to subjects which they are seeking answers for...

Finally do a bit of keyword research and figure out which terms are getting the most searches so that you can fold that into your article ...

One thing that many writers try to do is to write an opening that catches the attention of the article reader and makes them want to keep on reading and see if the article lives up to the intro for the article.

Another thing that has always seemed to help me, although I don't always do it, is to make sure to end the article with something that either sticks in the minds of the readers or something that makes them laugh. Something to remember the article by! ;)

It's good to write something catchy for the title and in the first paragraph. You always want to draw the reader in and get them to want to keep on reading. If you open up an article in a boring or dull way then there is a good chance that they will not read your article.

Actually its about solving a specific problem when you write ab article to your readers. write long and detailed content is the best thing for your visitors. when i started i was writing bad articles but now able to write good articles. its all about reading and research to know what to write about. Give them what they need and you will be rewarded later.

iam also working on a long article where i show people how to Write Great content and spend more time Promoting that Content. Its about a strategy to reach hundreds of readers.

The first and maybe the most important thing that you need is a headline or title that will catch the attention or people. If they see a good headline then they usually will want to find out what the post is about.

Catch words and phrases are a big key to having popular articles.

It all starts with being passionate which is one of the biggest problems with content writers today. A good writer can be passionate about a subject despite having limited true knowledge. This allows you to connect with the reader and more importantly, giving the reader heart-felt information which holds the most merit. You also want to engage with your target audience which may mean asking simple questions that don't necessarily mean they have to answer, but writing a statement that could even be a form of matter of fact in which the reader takes a moment and really stops to think. This helps you lure them into the post by connecting with their inner fealings which ultimately has them, well, reading more.....

Writing is an artform that very few people seem to posses for one defining reason. Internet marketing is not about selling products first, but instead, it's about writting in a passionate, persuasive, and engaging manner which will ultimately allow you to lure them in first, and sell your products second....

The 1st thing is that I have to understand about my audience, what they like to read.
Then I make an outline, take note keyword that I would focus on my article.
Sometimes, i struggle with generating good ideas. My solution is reading other articles or forum to get ideas

Really good points, and I completely agree with you. I see so many people writing about things that they really do not care about and you can tell in their writing.

Good of you to point this out so people can start thinking more about what they are writing about.

Couldn't agree with you more Storm. This shows in more ways than the author really realizes as it takes much more for a true content writer to re-write what they read instead of truly write about what they know. I personally have 6-7 people writing for me on a regular basis and what I always make sure I do is curve topics on what their knowledge base reflects instead of trying to get them to create a knowledge base around the specific topic. The end result is always much better which means better on-site SEO.

That's a great way to utilize your writers. It's better to have them write about topics and things that they like or know a lot about so they can create the best possible articles. That's great that you are doing it that way instead of trying to force them to write about things that they would not do as well with.

To write an article, the most important thing is to perform a lot of research before writing an article. Most of the internet users use the internet to gather knowledge and the users always have alternative options and if we do not offer great contents to the users then they will divert to other blogs. And to write unique contents we need to perform research, because quality matters over the quantity.But to write a good article you need to follow following tips:
  1. Add high quality and relevant images with every article
  2. Add an interesting and eye catching article name to attract the audience to read your article
  3. Use headings in the articles
  4. Perform a lot of research and take your time in writing a good content
  5. Write a detailed article to explain the topic in detail
  6. Revise the article three to four times to improve and correct the mistakes

  6. Revise the article 3 to 5 times to improve it

The best thing is to have a real good title that will make people want to see what your article is about and want to read it. You must get the readers attention quickly or they will not finish your article.

I think that you should start with a good title that will catch the eyes of potential readers and then keep giving them something to make them want to continue reading. Pull the readers in and make them want to read the entire article and then if appropriate finish with something funny to make them smile. :)

I have some good advice that will help you start good article:
A title that will capture the reader's attention.
It does not matter how well your article is written if you do not have the title with which you will catch the reader's attention. Most of the time, people seeking information on the Internet, tend to click on appealing or "calling" titles instead of titles that are boring and commonplace.
Simplify the dictionary.
It's also important to remember that people surfing the internet come from different backgrounds and usually seek some information. To reach the broader reader base, you must try to use simple words that are easy to read and understand, and do not use great words to confuse the reader. Also, when writing for a wider auditorium, it is important to limit the use of technical terminology. For example, "PLR article" may well be a well-known term for Internet marketing, but something that the accountant knows nothing about.
Use short sentences and paragraphs.
When surfing the web, the attention of most people is reduced to 9 seconds, the equivalent of goldfish! In other words, the tendency is that people are much more impatient when reading from the screen than reading from the book. That is why it is important that sentences and paragraphs are short, simple and specific. Another way to turn the reader's attention is by using a multitude of bulleted lists.
Make your article direct.
The best way to make your article happy for a reader is to break the ice with them using the conversational language. Simply put, try to use the language you probably use every day. This should make your article more personal, and readers should show a personal interest in your article because they feel that you are addressing them directly.
Pour your personality into the article.
When writing an article, try to put some of your personality into it. For example, you might mention, if you have any personal work experience or if you are particularly attached to your content. You can even put a light joke or two to have fun readers as long as it's fun and in accordance with the article. Whatever you do, the basic idea is that the reader knows that the real human person is the one who wrote the article. In the end, in this way, you will be able to excite your perspective.
So, there are always different approaches to different cases, and although you can use all of these tips in some of them, in most cases you will only be able to use one or two of these tips.
