Windows vs Linux hosting

What do you think about Windows and Linux hosting?

What do you prefer and why?

I'm using linux hosting for my php sites, what is your current web hosting?

Linux hosting is secure in comparison to windows hosting .

Since my IM carrier starts I am using Linux hosting.

I think both have their own characteristics and people choose them depending on their needs and usage. Linux is more preferred for higher security and experienced webmasters, whereas Windows are more preferred for GUI interface and usage for remote assistance.

Linux for the most part. Windows Server was built to target a specific type of developer, it's also considered the "Lazy OS" as it comes with a GUI built-in to the operating system making it easier to manage for some. In the end, I have seen more reliability and power off of Linux based systems than I ever have from a Windows Server.
