How fast your page loads does help. Looking at what Googles wants - it's user experience. Having a site that is optimized and loads well will give help.

Simply, Google want to be the best search engine it the world thus they do best in provided high user experience of search engine.

You know..? I found some information about new search engine ranking..

Backlinks is important for ranking your article, but it's not always true..! Google rank your article depend on quality of your article.

Conversion rate is significant for measuring the quality of your article. It mean that if you article get more conversion, you'll rank higher.

Loading speed is once important fact to improve conversion of your blog. Usually, the blog that over 5 second loading speed is less conversion even sometimes readers quite their blog without reading..

Yes. Google Bot crawls every page and check it's loading time also. If it is found that the website is unresponsive or unreasonably slow, then it will go down the Rank.

From my opinion, loading speed do not effect SEO if the site is not down or have problem loading. My previous site got issue when load the page due to server error and it negatively effect site ranking.

Yes load time is an important aspect,

Page load time should be close to 1 sec for good SEO.

Yes, it is true that website loading speed effects SEO.. When you analyze the website you need to check your loading speed section as well. The main reason of the low speed is Images sizes , javascripts, and bad inline style sheets.

You need to make them clean to make it fast...

    Thanks

Yes, it affects your rankings. Google has always been about providing the best user experience possible and a page that loads incredibly slow will never rank. However, if you site is slow (3-4 seconds) it can still rank but, could be outranked more easily. Google has said it before, page speed load is a ranking factor. You can use their speed test tool in order to know what needs to be improved or corrected.

You can access PageSpeed Insights by clicking here.

There have also been many studies about big sites like amazon loading slowly (like 100 milliseconds slower) and costing them about 1% of their income wich is about $175,000,000 a year (that's what they reported in a case study they ran).

So, it not only affects your rankings but, costs you money, the larger your site the more money it costs you.

Hope this information helps you improve your website's loading time.

    Blessings,
    Jonathan Nunez

Yes the loading speed can have an affect on a website and it's rankings. A while back Google announced that load times were a small ranking factor.

However the only time you are likely to see any kind of noticeable affect is if you were greatly reducing the load times for your site OR if for some reason your website slowed down drastically.

    Cheers, Dean.

Yes. Google Bot crawls over website and check loading time of each page. If speed found slow then it will affect your SEO.

Yes it does, but indirectly. Here's how: If you have a heavy sight your user experience goes down, as a result chances of bounce rate increases hence affecting your ranking in search results. This is primarily the reason that google has launched AMP which reduces the weight of size, increases its loading speed and enhances user experience.
    Hope it helps!

Google is using the web page load speed for their rankings so then yes it will affect your seo. I think it will not have a big seo affect as long as it's not real slow though.

website speed is a great factor for webmasters. People simply bypass the sites that are loading very slowly. Google also consider to rank sites that are loads fastly. Website speed depends on a lot of factors like your hosting provider, how much javascript and css you are using in your website.Gzip compression, Using CDN like cloudflare, MaxCdn etc.

Most of the above posts are absolutley right. It affects in many ways. Its not a deciding factor, but slow load speed can signal website problems. Google wants a good user experience, so their bot measures load speed and load / crawl errors.

In addition, studies show that slow load speeds lead to users being more likely to bounce. High bounce rates can also affect search ranking, so load speed is always something you should optimize. There are free tools out there that can show you suggestions on how to optimize your page speed and mobile browsing, which google also pays attention to.

For simple explanation. It only means the slow your website load has greater chance of high bounce rate which can affect your ranking.

I agree with you. I have personally left websites that took too long to load pages because I got tired of waiting. Everyone likes websites that load fast.

People do not like a website that will load too slow so they will not want to come back so that might affect the seo but I do not know for sure. I know google use website load speed for ranking a website.
