Is it hard to make a wordpress theme?

I think everything has it's downs and ups. It's hard to determine if it's hard to create your WordPress theme. Why? Because it depends on the level of experience of each individual so it will vary quite a bit.
Have I made my own WP theme? Yes and it wasn't to bad. It takes patience, time, and organization just like any web development. I personally find that the key is to be clean with your coding from the start as if you are making it for someone else so it's easier to go through it if something is buggy.
Have I bought one? Nope, I have installed one for someone else who bought it. It's process is very simple to have it installed as it is automatically, just choose the .zip file and wordpress takes care of the rest. Then it's up to the end user to add it's content and make any layout + images changes.
