What is the difference between a Forum and a Blog?
Can any one explain me?
Can any one explain me?
Yes and many times when you leave a comment on a blog then you will not get a reply from the blog owner. Many times I post a comment and ask a question about the post and the blog owner does not even reply. They just want to have comments on the blog to get better rank in search engine sites. One of the simpler ways of explaining this to my customers that I have used is I tell my customers when they ask this question is a blog is more like a lecture on a particular topic. You explain the topic and give examples of your points expecting little or no feedback from the majority of the viewers. They can leave comments but most times those are merely comments either reinforcing the topic or questioning the premise.
A forum is more of a conversation. A question or subject is posted and interested parties will voice their opinions or solutions to the question. Comments and solutions on a forum are expected and a good forum will expect and receive comments from the members that build on the information stored in the forum. A forum is also like a learning portal.
Of course over the last few years, with the numbers of ways available to interact with the participants in a Blog that line has become blurred. Most Blogs now store historical data on their topics and it is getting easier to research older topics on a blog that a few years ago was not available.
