I bought my domain name from godaddy and I would recommend you to do the same thing because they have sales running on domains names most of the time. Also they provide a wide variety of hosting and website builder options. This can be very helpful if you are a beginner.Where have you bought your domains?
Between Godaddy, namecheap and name.com, which one do you prefer?
I've never used the Godaddy website builder, is it any good?I bought my domain name from godaddy and I would recommend you to do the same thing because they have sales running on domains names most of the time. Godaddy website builder is very simple and offers few pages such as About page, Home page, and contact page. And sometimes a few more but not a lot. If you want to make landing pages, thank you pages, and build customized pages, then I would NOT recommend godaddy website builder because it doesn't allow you to do that. So according to my opinion, godaddy's website builder isn't any good if you want to do Internet Marketing, blogging, or any other kind of product selling. There are many other hosting companies where you can literally press a button and upload all of your landing pages to your website. So if you are a beginner, you can still upload any HTML file with any kind of hosting.I've never used the Godaddy website builder, is it any good?
I was thinking since it should be simple to use and setup that it might be good for landing pages and squeeze pages since they do not need to be anything fancy.
So the website builder script itself won't allow those pages or is it a godaddy policy or rule?If you want to make landing pages, thank you pages, and build customized pages, then I would NOT recommend godaddy website builder because it doesn't allow you to do that.
It's not godaddy, its the website builder that's been designed that way.So the website builder script itself won't allow those pages or is it a godaddy policy or rule?
That's good to know. It's just that with godaddy you never know which is why I asked. They like to put limits on things like the fact that they have certain wordpress plugins that they don't allow. These things always make me wonder if it's them or not. It's not godaddy, its the website builder that's been designed that way.
Don't use Godaddy web hosting unless you want to pay for extra resources above what is included in their plans. I kept getting low ram warnings and messages to buy additional ram. The extra cost is more than it would be to get better hosting somewhere else.I use GoDaddy and Namecheap both as my registrars, but have never used either one for hosting. My experiences with Godaddy hosting has been limited to client sales and transfers out. but from what I've heard is that their servers themselves are slow and restrictive. On the other hand, their technical support has always received great reviews and I like their call-back option during the peaks times of the day....
