Can mail merge be done using yahoo mail and gmail?

Well I've seen it done in my office using Microsoft outlook and I am wondering if this can also be done using Gmail and yahoo mail? Even if I am asking this I am not very familiar of mail merge so can you also give me an idea of its uses?

Are you looking to receive the emails into one platform? I.e some ones emails you to your yahoo email address you want to be able to read it/receive it to your gmail inbox/folder?

Or do you want to access them both in outlook at once?
