How long does it take to build a Wordpress website?

I remember it took me some time to build my Wordpress blog website I made last year but I think I will be able to build my new ones faster now because I have learned many new things over the times. I want to know how long does it usually take someone who is a beginner to build a Wordpress website?

It will be different for different people and some different things that each person knows and understands. I think for a beginner it will take a couple of weeks to get your wordpress website built and completed. You can do it quicker if you spend more time at it but I was figuring a couple of hours each day.

It took me over a month to build my first wordpress website because I was not sure exactly how to do some things and I needed to do much searching for the answers to my tasks. Now I can probably get one all setup to go live in a few days not considering all the content for posts.

Often it takes me longer to do some things because if I am not sure how to do something properly then I will have to search for the information that will tell me how to do it. I have learned many things I did not know before and there was one man I used to work with at the school who helped me do a few things. Now I think I can at the least part do most of it. I have kept a notebook with some things I needed to figure out before and that will help me.

A normal Blog not more then 4-5 hours .

Woo-commerce Store : Customization of theme ( 5-8 hours ) , Uploading products depends how many products to be uploaded.

Auto-Blogs : within 1-2 hour.

Business Website : 24-48 hours.

Landing Page : 4-5 hours.

New Portal : 4-5 days.

a beginner can build a normal blog in just 4-5 hours? I took me much longer to then that. Maybe I need to take some online classes to help. I was looking to maybe take some wordpress classes to help me.

The longer you work with it the more you will learn and things will become easier for you to do. Taking notes is a good idea. I do that myself often.

It's going to be hard to give you any kind of time frame that it would take a beginner to build a Wordpress website because there are many things to consider in any kind of estimation.

Does the beginner have any kind of web development experience or knowledge? Does the beginner learn things easily and pick up things quickly?

There are just too many things to consider to give an accurate estimate. It could be a few hours or a few weeks. I can build one myself and get it ready to go and just needing content for blog posts and so on in less than an hour depending on my needs.

I have seen some beginners take months to get their Wordpress site completed and some get one completed in hours. There are just too many unknowns to give an accurate answer.

No need to take Wordpress Classes look over the Youtube Videos avail , also you can search for your query over google and check the links which are coming over search results .

Those links have detailed instructions which will help you out in learning and getting your wordpress blog up.
That is a good idea. I did not think about checking on youtube for videos to help learn more. I was just thinking about the online courses but I think I will just see what is on youtube.

Thank you

Mostly I was meaning something like for an average person with minimum experience with it.

It's really hard to say but I would say that for someone that is completely new to Wordpress and has minimal experience with website building it will probably take anywhere from a few days to maybe over a week.

It also depends on how many pages and posts, if the person has the content already ready to put up, how much time they dedicate to doing it and a whole lot of other details.

If someone catches on to things fast and has all their content ready to go then maybe a day or two but then again it depends on a lot of different factors.

If you are a beginner then it can take you much longer to build your site like maybe a few days since you will not know how to do everything and often need to look for help. It took me about 1 week to make my first wordpress blog because I did not know anything about it.

I am still a beginner and have many things I must still learn. I was wondering how long it can take average beginners to judge myself in comparison. I have been reading about many things that should help me improve my skills with Wordpress.

It depends on what you mean by "build". If you want to set up the right files to make your website go online, then you could even do it in a single day by following a tutorial. Setting it up, instead, will take much longer whether you are a beginner or someone already well-versed in web development (you still have to get to know their HTML/CSS structure, after all). If you don't know anything about web development, stick to pre-built themes and customise details like colours, font family and size, you'll find plenty of free themes to choose from. Finding the right plugins and fixing the new issues that will arise as you go will probably take a week or so if you're dedicated.
If you want to make your own theme, though, it can take waaay longer. If you start from scratch it could even take an entire month, if not several, but expert developers who know what to do on Wordpress could take much less. It's still a daunting task, though, so don't expect it to be quick.

You can set up a wordpress site in few minutes, however, customization takes some time. However, building contents longest time. Unless you already have pre written articles, you will have to write articles and publish regularly to build contents. Monetization also takes time. You need to have enough quality contents and should be already getting traffic in order to get accepted from Adsense. In some countries, you will have to wait for six months before you can apply for adsense. Therefore, the longest time to build wordpress site is building contents and monetization.

Well, I set my own WordPress website in about a month or so but I had some guidance. Wordpress interface is really easy to use and it's not a big deal if you wish to build your own website real quick. It takes a bit of research and of course disposition.

It shouldn't take more than a day or two if you have everything ready to go like the theme and plugins you are using and what you want it to look like.

It takes me a little longer usually because I spend so many hours looking at the themes and deciding on what exactly I want. Then I have a hard time finding one that has all that I am looking for.

I am meaning from the start to the website being completed but just needing some blog posts and other page information. I am a beginner but know a little bit from my experience with my old blog last year.

I was meaning mostly the building the website from the start up to the point where everything is done and you just have to add some blog posts and other page information.

The guidance you had was from a person or looking for information online? I have only had mostly help by looking in google for things. I had one person I used to work with help me a very little but that is it.

I would have everything ready to go myself except for all the blog posts and some of the page information. It took me much longer last year when I made my first blog then it should now because I know how to do some things.

If you are a complete beginner with little experience in WordPress then it can take a few days or maybe longer, depending on what exactly you are doing and how fast you are able to catch on to how things are done.

If you know a little bit about WordPress then you should be able to get one completely built and just need to add content in less than a day.

It does depend on how prepared you are for your theme choice as well as the plugins that you will want or need . The styling can often take the most time.

It all depends on the skill level of the person building the site and their ability to catch on to how things are done and if they have all the software decisions made so you just have to setup, layout and go.

I know a little bit so I am not a complete beginner but I still do not know many things so it takes me time to do some looking for information. I think it took me long on my first one because I was unsure of what I was doing and I was afraid to mess something up.
