Hey there,
My new blog has just published and I need advice about backlinks for it.
Should I buy links to improve Google rankings in short term?
Please let me know what are your views and thank you for your answers.

The only reason to buy links for your site would be 1) to generate traffic directly from the links themselves, because they will be seen and clicked on by people you want to get to come to your website or 2) because they can help increase the rankings of your blog posts which can bring in more traffic from the search engines, (specifically Google)

And you still only do that if you are willing to assume the risk that if the links are identified as paid links by Google, then they will punish your rankings drastically.

Are you sure you need to buy any links though?

You may not have to buy them at all or you might be thinking of getting them for the wrong reasons.

If you aren't actually targeting specific keywords with your blog posts or homepage, then you really don't need them at all. What I mean by that is that I wouldn't bother working on links at all unless I was specifically trying to get more traffic from Google. If that is where you want your traffic to come from and you are writing blog posts with titles that are intended to attract traffic from search engines, then the links could really help. Otherwise, the links aren't going to help you in the ways that you expect them to help anyway.

There are also ways you can get links without buying them. The place to start is to figure out who you want your audience to be for your blog. Then figure out how you can let those groups of people know that your website exists. For example, you could join a forum that is relevant to your niche and have your website URL appear in text below every conversation you have on that forum. Look at my signature on here for example.

You can launch free blogs on Web 2.0 sites like blogger, blog.com, tumblr.com, etc. and write additional blog posts on them. And have some of those blog posts link back to your blog.

You can make friends with other bloggers. Then you allow those bloggers to write guest blog posts on your site in exchange for letting you publish your guest posts on their sites.

And if you absolutely insist on buying links and you don't know good places to buy them from, then I suggest you ask people you trust. But don't ask them in public like on a forum like this. Ask them in private like through email or through a private message on the forum.

Hope that helps!

When you take the time to create unique web content with specific keywords designed to boost your visibility in search results, you not only increase your search engine ranking but also increase the probability that your readers will return.

You can buy links and as long as they are from good sites, they will help. However I don't recommend buying any links because if you are obtaining links through purchasing them then that may mean that the site you are buying them on might have sold links to low quality, spam or other negative quality websites of which your site will be connected with.

If someone is willing to sell links, how do you know and how can you trust that they aren't selling links to junk sites as well? Also, since the person who is selling the links is obviously interested in money first, how do you know that the site you buy the link/s from isn't going to be a junk, spam, etc. site itself? That would make the link that you bought harmful to your own site.

These are a few things that always run through my mind about when someone buys links.

Cheers, Dean.

Rather than buying backlinks I would rather create backlinks and know where they are going and also have them from website owners that don't just sell them or give them out to just anyone.

Even creating some free blogs on WordPress.com or somewhere similar and linking back to your site would probably be better.

Many of the people who sell backlinks just sell them to anyone, no matter what their site is about or what it's practices are. How would you know that you are not going to wind up with backlinks from a site that has a lot of porn or other not-so-good links or content?

Just my $.02! ;)

Buying backlinks is against google's webmaster policies. I did a lot of research on this and many other things that are related to backlinks and all the top seo sites and top people say that you should never risk buying backlinks.

I would also be worried that a bought backlink can be on the same site as adult or illegal sites so I wouldn't want my site associated with those types of sites.

It would be easier (and cheaper) to go and make your own backlinks so you have more control over what kind of other sites are on the same site as your site's link.

I would not risk it myself.

Buying backlinks is a bad idea. If google finds out they can penalize your site and even remove it from their searches. Then your site will probably die from not getting traffic.

If you buy backlinks then you must be very careful so you don't get you site killed by google.

Unfortunately some people learn this too late, after their website has a penalty or ban.

killed by google.
Nice one! :) Maybe someone should start a website called killedbygoogle.com and list a bunch of sites that were killed by Google because people did things they shouldn't have! :Clap 1:
