Assuming that you are asking about the affiliate marketing to be effective without ad posting. One can rank the affiliate website on SERPs or use paid traffic as a medium to drive valuable and targeted traffic.

I am guessing the OP means how can one promote affiliate products without the need of posting ads on sites like Craigslist, Backpage etc. To be honest with you one cannot expect sales just by posting ads on classifieds ads. You will actually need to have a site in place targeting the offer you want to promote. You should instead focus on running either paid traffic or try to rank your site on the major search engines.
