Difference between PPC and SEO?

What is the difference between pay per click and search engine optimization?

which one is better for your site?

The main difference between Search Engine Optimization (SEO) and Pay Per Click (PPC) is that traffic coming from SEO (organic) is free while traffic generated from PPC is not free (as the name implies you have to pay a cost per click). This is also the reason why you may sometimes see the terms organic search engine listings and paid search engine listings (or Paid Search Advertising – PSA).

Both are effective methods of garnering visitors for a website, but one method can work very well for certain circumstances, while with the other, you may encounter difficulties generating traffic in the same situation.
Websites are virtual real estates. If you’re planning to sell your website for a premium price, you have to increase its value. There are many factors that can contribute to increasing its value. Among them are amount of traffic generated, consistency of traffic generated, page rank, search engine rankings over a period of time, link popularity, and the like. All of these fall in the realm of SEO.
Pay-per-click marketing is a method of advertising on search engine results pages. Basically, you bid to have your ads appear in the sponsored results when someone types in a query including your keywords.
PPC results are displayed above the organic search results. This prominent position means that in many cases, as much as 50% of the search traffic goes to the top 3 sponsored links. By being absent from PPC you're conceding loss of all those clicks to your competitors. If you're serious about maximizing your click-share of available searches for keywords relevant to your business, you absolutely must engage in PPC

PPC is a paid option to get people to visit your website/offer/etc. in which you pay the advertiser that you are use a certain amount of money each time that someone clicks on the advertisement that you are using. If nobody clicks on your advertisement then it won't usually cost you any money. This is a completely paid way to get traffic.

SEO is two parts. On-page SEO is basically just improving characteristics of your website or blog so that the search engines can index your site for the terms that it is setup for and in relation to it's content. Off-Page SEO is the practice of doing things away from your site to get it to rank better in the search engines for whatever terms you are trying to rank for (hopefully). Link building techniques are part of off-page SEO.

which one is better for your site?
This can sometimes depend on what exactly you are trying to achieve with your site and what is on your site. Some topics need PPC to rank better and some will be a good option to just SEO the site. If you are trying to rank for tough keywords and/or terms then PPC might be the only way to get real traffic to your site because of all the competition. What's best for your site depends on many things so what is good for one website might not work or be best for another.

Hope this helps.

Cheers, Dean.

SEO is when you optimize your website so the search engines such as Google rank your website higher so you can get free organic traffic.
Pay Per Click(PPC) is when you pay someone to give you traffic based on clicks. So every time somebody clicks on the link you want people to click on, the person who is giving you traffic charges you money. The prices are not fixed. People offer different prices for their traffic. Some might charge you $0.30 per click and some people might charge you $0.90.
Both SEO and PPC are used to get traffic and it really depends on you how you do them so I can't say which one is better.
Hopefully you understood. Good Luck!

Both SEO and PPC are part of which is one of the tools you can use as part of your overall Internet Marketing campaign.
As you can see from the screenshot above you can expect to find PPC Ads above the organic results and on the sidebar. Where exactly your ad will appear depends on a number of factors (i.e. the keywords you are targeting, keywords in your ad copy, keywords in your landing page and many more) but it’s either on top, on the sidebar or below the organic results.
The bottom line is that you need to use both PPC and SEO Service as part of your Internet Marketing campaign. PPC can bring you faster results so you can run a PPC campaign and test which keywords convert better and then try with SEO to rank for those keywords.
Use PPC when you have a high converting product and use SEO when you have a limited budget to spend on advertising.
SEO may take time but the results are (under s

Pay per click should be used if you have money to spend on this service because it is just a paid source of traffic by having ads shown in ad networks.

Seo is good to use if you do not have money to spend on traffic and advertising because it is free if you do it yourself. Seo just makes your website rank better in the search engines.
