Can I market unrelated affiliate products on my blog?

I want to know what other affiliate marketers think about marketing affiliate products that are not related to the niche of my blog. I see some things have good profits and sales numbers but they aren't related to my niche.

What do you think about having unrelated affiliate items on my blog?

Yes you can market unrelated things on your blog but one thing that you have to remember. Many people come to your site because they found something on it in a search result or social media search that caught their attention.

If you have affiliate items on your blog that are not related to the niche and the material on your blog then you might not get many sales because they are for things that are not related to what drew them to your blog in the first place.

I think it would be ok to market unrelated affiliate products on your blog if you think that they are things that the people going to your blog might be interested in. There are some things that are popular to lots of different people and that sell well anywhere. I think the trick is going to be that you need to find those things that do well in all niches.

I am still new to affiliate marketing but I think that if you are marketing products that are vastly different from what your blog is about then you might not make much money. People will go to your blog because of the content and not the advertisements so if the advertisements are similar to the content I think you will have more earnings.

I have been looking around to try to find things that work for all niches. I just don't know what those would be for sure.

You should be able to market anything that you want as long as it follows the conditions of the advertisers. I would just try to market the things that are going to give you the best chances of making sales.

You can market whatever you would like to on your blog as long as you follow the terms of the affiliate programs. You just may not get the best sales numbers if things are much different that what your blog is about.

The conversion rates are usually much better when you market products that are at least somewhat related to the niche your blog is in but you can market whatever you feel like you want to market as long as you follow the advertiser and affiliate networks (if applicable) rules and policies.

Why would you even do that?

You will only lose traffic increasing in the bounce rate of your site and this will only hamper your position on serps. Relevancy matters a lot and you should not mislead your audience.

You can market anything you would like since it is only you who is in control of your earnings but marketing things that the people that come to your blog might not be having any interest in will hurt your conversions.

I was thinking that it might increase the chances for more sales if there were more things to choose from.

How would it hurt my position for my blog? Because of the things I advertise?

Not because of the things you advertise but because of the products that you will advertise considering your niche is different.

That's the best way I think. I have tried to put advertisements for things that were not specific to my material on my blog and they didn't do too well.
