Do post authors affect SEO?

Hey everyone, I was wondering if having posts on your blog by different authors can be good for SEO. Meaning that there are more than one author writing the blog posts. I saw something on this but it was not clear. I ask because I might at some point hire out a freelancer or two to do some blog posts for an upcoming blog so that I can get content quicker.

Anyone have any thoughts on this?

SEO actually doesn't depends on authors. Its solely depends on the quality of your posts and the backlink you have gained. If multiple authors write on your blog doesn't mean that your site have a poor SEO score. In my blog, I accept many guest posts from other authors and its really beneficial for my blog readers and i did not see any drop in rankings.

I was curious about this subject myself. Did having posts from other authors help your rankings for your blog?

Somehow it is. But having posts from different authors make your blog more diversified content. Which is helpful to your users. There is no negative impact of it in SEO.
Well that is a nice side affect. I read some posts that said that it can sometimes help but I didn't know if it really did. Maybe it is because some other authors have posts on other blogs and that can help yours.

I really like your blog and I read it often for information on things. It's real nice and with lots of good information. :)

Since you have a blog with different authors then I would like to ask you if there should be a limit on the number of authors that write blog posts or if any amount of authors will be ok?

No, There will be no limit from my side. A Author can write as much as informative and quality posts for my blog and I really appreciate that. It makes my blog full of useful content.

I think that having a variety of different post authors and their different writing styles will be a benefit to a blog as long as the articles are quality articles.

I don't know if there would be an actual SEO boost or not, I guess it would depend on the authors and their use of keywords. ;)

Different website owners accept the post of the gust authors because that way they can easily obtain high quality contents. We should add outbound links in our websites to make the links appear natural but the outbound links in the website should be relevant to your blog.
If you are worried about the SEO then you can accept the authors that add links that have a good page authority or domain authority.

Do you get many of them that write more than one post?

Yeah I guess that since others write differently then that can be a good thing.

So then I can check a site like the moz site and see if their website has good authority ranking and then accept them? Will that make people mad if you do not accept them?

I don't think that the post author will affect SEO unless maybe the author is a very well known authority and he/she have their BIO in the post or something else to identify them.

I still don't think that even that will have an SEO influence but who knows...

I think it will not affect SEO no matter how many authors you have. As long as their content is high quality, relevant and knowledgeable on topic that they are writing.

Good point odhran and this is surely something to think about when people are considering using guest or other authors on their blogs. It's always better to produce good content than a lot more content that is junk. I'm glad you brought this up.

I wasn't sure because I have seen information that says it does and other information that says that it doesn't. so I was just curious if it really does have an affect or not. I guess I will just have to try it and see. Thanks
